The Kournos Music Festival joins forces with composer Apostolis Koutsogiannis<\/strong> and poets\u00a0Marl\u00e8ne Nika<\/strong> and Semi Selami<\/strong> to create the visual cantata Vrykolax en Kabeirio<\/strong><\/em>, a musical tale about the defeated and undefeated \u201cvrykolakes\u201d (vampiric\nspirits) of our time, presented within the framework of the Ministry of Culture\u2019s\nprogram \u201cAll of Greece, One Culture 2025.\u201d<\/div>

A lyrical performance under the moonlight, set within the archaeological site of the\nKabeiria in Lemnos, featuring the remarkable international soprano Aphrodite Patoulidou<\/strong> and the acclaimed Ventus Ensemble<\/strong>. The sculptural works of visual\nartist Philippos Vasileiou<\/strong>inspired by the Renaissance imagery of Gregorio Dati,\nreveal the many-layered textures of the myth. The Forgiveness by Iakovos Polylas,\nThe Son of the Vampire by Achilleas Paraschos, and the dark vampire novellas of\nthe 19th century\u2014reminders of a para-logical universe\u2014enter into dialogue with the\ncreators\u2019 original libretto, offering us a poetic gesture against the disenchantment of\nthe world.<\/p>

For the third consecutive year, the Kournos Music Festival commissions and\npublishes a new work inspired by Lemnos\u2014its nature, culture, and history\u2014<\/strong>aiming to build a distinctive \u201clibrary\u201d<\/strong> of musical creations dedicated to the island.
